Adejobi emphasized that scrutiny of phones is only permissible when tied to an investigation with the device marked as evidence, not during roadside encounters.
Any officer conducting phone searches on the road is considered deviant, violating the IGP's directive and the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and should face sanctions.
