As we anticipate a productive week ahead, I, Peter Obi, express my gratitude to God for His enduring grace that guided us through the various activities of last week. On August 11th, 2023, alongside Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State, Former Governor Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom State, and other prominent Nigerians, I participated in the Funeral Service of the esteemed and devoted Nigerian, Former Prelate Sunday Mbang of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, in Eket, Akwa Ibom. May he rest in eternal peace.
On August 12th, 2023, I attended the 80th birthday celebration of Lady Florence Chinyelu Nwosu in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Lady Nwosu, a dedicated educator, has spent her years inspiring and educating the youth, continuing to teach even at the age of 80. Such individuals are the true heroes deserving of national recognition in Nigeria.
Moving forward to August 13th, 2023, I participated in the Thanksgiving Mass for Hon Benedict Etanabene, Representative of Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency in the Green Chambers, in Warri, Delta State. Additionally, I had the honor of paying a visit to His Royal Majesty, Major General Felix Agho Mujakperuo (rtd), Orhue 1, Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, a distinguished Nigerian who has served the nation in various capacities. Following my time in Warri, I journeyed to Lagos for the inauguration of the Local Government Caretaker Committee of the Labour Party, advancing our collective pursuit of a New Nigeria.
My unwavering dedication to realizing our vision for a better nation remains steadfast, as I believe it is indeed achievable.
