Governor Alex C Otti of Abia State, actively participated in a gathering of South East Governors in Enugu state. Given the escalating security issues in our region and the detrimental effects of unauthorized sit-at-home directives on our economic progress, it has become imperative for the South East Governors to diligently seek a lasting resolution to this critical predicament.
We acknowledge the valid concerns and frustrations of our citizens, and we are resolute in our commitment to effectively tackle them.
Furthermore, we have identified the significance of addressing the fundamental causes of insecurity, including unemployment and poverty, through the implementation of job creation initiatives and programs for economic empowerment.
We extend our gratitude to both the Federal Government and the security agencies for their contributions, and we urge our fellow citizens to collaborate with us as we work towards reestablishing peace in our region.
