SONKO'S SENTENCING TRIGGERS UNREST (VIDEOS)

Ousmane Sonko, the Senegalese Opposition leader vying for the Presidency in the upcoming election, has been handed a two-year sentence on charges of "corrupting the Youth." This development has triggered an immediate and forceful response from the people of Senegal.

The situation has escalated to a point where the governability of the country is in question. Large-scale protests and demonstrations have erupted, characterized by an outpouring of anger and violence from the masses.

Disturbingly, the current leader in Senegal, whom many consider to be shamelessly dictatorial, has deployed the military against unarmed young civilians. In the face of this unjust treatment, the people have come together in solidarity, adopting the belief that an injury inflicted upon one is an injury to all.
