INEC presented the certificate of return to the Abia State governor elect, Alex Otti.
"Today, I received my Certificate of Return. I thank INEC for the good job it did in Abia.
The joy and celebration that greeted our declaration by INEC, on Wednesday 22nd of March, puts a huge responsibility on us. I assure you that we shall not disappoint in the discharge of that responsibility.
In the next few days, we shall set up our transition committee preparatory to our takeover of the affairs of our dear state, Abia. Thank you, and God bless you."
