Governor Alex Otti of Abia State visited the 144 Battalion in Asa, Ukwa West, to meet with the young widows of soldiers who were killed by unidentified gunmen.
Received by Brigadier General O.O. Diya, commander of the 14 Brigade in Ohafia, Governor Otti expressed his commitment to identifying and apprehending the criminals responsible for the killings.
During his visit, he conveyed his condolences to the widows and reassured them that the state would fully support their welfare. Governor Otti pledged full scholarships for their children up to the university level and provided them with financial assistance.
