TINUBU'S BUSINESS GROWTH INITIATIVES

According to Minister Mohammed Idris, President Tinubu's initiatives aim to foster a conducive environment for business growth, including streamlined regulations, investment incentives, and infrastructure provision. At a town hall meeting in Kano, Idris highlighted measures such as a 24-hour online registration for new businesses and revisions to the Export Permit application process. He noted that the new Executive Order will enhance the oil and gas industry, creating 2.3 million jobs and boosting GDP by $17 billion.

Additionally, interventions like import Duty Exemption Certificates and various grant schemes aim to bolster industrialization. The government is also prioritizing critical infrastructure projects like the power sector overhaul and solar-hydro projects.

Alhaji Sabiu Bako, Chairman of Kano Business Community, praised Tinubu's implementation of their suggestions, particularly supporting the removal of fuel subsidies.

Participants advocated for ongoing dialogue with the government, refining intervention schemes, and expediting projects like the AKK Gas Pipeline.
