The Minister of Aviation, in line with President Bola Tinubu's directive to halt publicly-funded foreign trips, has instructed all Ministry-affiliated agencies and officials to suspend such travels starting from March 21, 2024.
The directive, conveyed through an official document signed by Dr. Emmanuel C. Meribole, the Ministry's permanent secretary, mandates seeking Presidential approval for essential international trips at least two weeks in advance.
All previously approved trips are on hold, and personnel are directed not to process flight tickets or estacodes until further notice. Compliance is mandatory.
