Northern senators have raised concerns over alleged budget padding amounting to N4 trillion by Akpabio, suggesting that he and his associates have inserted self-enrichment projects into the budget through illegitimate means.
The Forum, chaired by Abdul Ningi, engaged Akpabio in discussions at his Guest House in Abuja's Maitama District. Ningi highlighted discrepancies in the budget, revealing unauthorized changes and additions that could negatively impact the nation.
The senators plan to meet with the senate president to address their concerns and ensure transparency in budget allocation.
