The Nigeria Labour Congress has established the new minimum wage for workers in the South-West geopolitical zone at ₦794,000, amid ongoing deliberations on setting an appropriate wage considering the current economic conditions.
Funmi Sessi, chairperson of the Lagos State NLC chapter, revealed this figure during her address at the Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage's public hearing in Ikeja, Lagos. Sessi emphasized that this amount reflects the consensus among union members in the South-West region.
