The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, is under federal investigation for alleged corruption, accused of aiding oil thieves and receiving substantial sums. 

Minister Muhammed Bello Matawalle emphasizes the government's commitment to a thorough and impartial inquiry, stating President Bola Tinubu's administration has zero tolerance for corruption. 

Despite acknowledging the potential mischief in the allegations, the Ministry of Defence underscores its dedication to integrity within the Nigerian Armed Forces. 

The minister encourages responsible journalism and pledges full collaboration with relevant authorities, emphasizing adherence to due process and fairness.
