NO REGRETS FOR SUPPORTING NORTH

"I make no apologies for supporting a northern candidate because I am a proud northerner. It's a part of my identity, and I've always been open about it." Abdullahi Adamu said.

When asked if he initiated Senator Ahmed Lawan as the party's candidate:

"While I have a role as the party chairman, I couldn't unilaterally nominate Ahmed Lawan as the candidate. It's not how politics works, and it involved a process. Some tried to create a rift between me and President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for their own gains, but I stand by my northern identity without any regrets.

"Times are changing, and people in the South, especially the South West, proudly express their identities. In the East, people are even willing to sacrifice for their beliefs. My lack of regret stems from the belief that destiny is in God's hands, and I believe He has chosen Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the president."

Regarding his resignation as APC National Chairman:

"Politics involves actions and reactions, and I felt I had fulfilled my leadership role. I've served as a minister, governor, and secretary of the Board of Trustees of a ruling party. I led the APC to victory and a new government. President Buhari nominated me, and I'm grateful for his support and God's guidance."
