The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, has sent an urgent extradition request for the former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Allison-Madueke, to the Crown Prosecution Services of the United Kingdom.
The request, made under Nigeria’s Extradition Act and the "London Scheme of Extradition," is supported by a warrant of arrest, based on evidence from the EFCC.
While Nigeria has initiated the process, the timeline for Diezani's extradition depends on the UK's internal review and adherence to their legal and international protocols, determining the speed of her return to Nigeria.
