The SSS interrogated Abdulrasheed Bawa's two brothers, Yazid Bawa (an EFCC employee) and Bashir Bawa (employed at NCC), confiscating a bulletproof vehicle and a recent model Mercedes-Benz allegedly belonging to them.
Additionally, the secret police questioned Hadiza Gamawa, the chief of staff to the suspended EFCC chairman, and his legal adviser, U.U. Buhari. These individuals were reportedly apprehended on August 25 but later released a few days afterward.
On August 31, SSS operatives also arrested Mr. Bawa's personal assistants, Rufa'i Zaki, and Daniela Jimoh.
