The National Executive Committee of NNPP has taken the decision to expel Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso due to his alleged refusal to participate in the party's Disciplinary Committee proceedings.
This action was in accordance with the party's constitution (2022, as amended), as the NEC had previously directed the Disciplinary Committee to invite Mr. Kwankwaso to address allegations of gross anti-party activities and mishandling of party/campaign funds within a five-day window.
Despite warnings of expulsion for non-compliance, Mr. Kwankwaso's refusal to engage with the committee led to his immediate expulsion from the party, as announced by Abdulsalam Abdulrasaq, the Acting National Publicity Secretary of NNPP, in a statement released on Tuesday in Lagos.
