Unless there are any unexpected changes, President Bola Tinubu is set to unveil a new minimum wage for Nigerian workers next week.

Comrade Festus Osifo, the President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), revealed this during discussions regarding the removal of fuel subsidies with the federal government. He mentioned that the Minister of Labour had already discussed the wage issue with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Finance.

However, the President requested further refinements before the official announcement. Despite suggestions to allow an additional two weeks due to the President's travel plans, it was decided that the announcement would indeed take place next week after further deliberations.
