Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo has addressed the recent suicide attempt of socialite Farida Sobowale. Iyabo revealed that she had been on the phone with Farida for a while, unaware of Farida's intentions to take her own life. Iyabo extended her prayers and optimism, assuring Farida that things would improve.
On Thursday night, Farida Sobowale made a suicide attempt on the Third Mainland Bridge. She was stopped from jumping into the Lagoon by some men who arrived in time to help. The incident, captured in a video that has gone viral, showed Farida in distress while being held back and comforted by these men.
Iyabo's message to Farida conveyed her regret for not recognizing the signs during their conversation and offered words of encouragement and support. Farida and her husband recently had a high-profile wedding in Lagos, but there have been rumors circulating about the state of their marriage.
