MY DAUGHTER'S UTME FORGERY DELAYED — MMESOMA FATHER SAYS

Romanus Ejikeme, the father of Mmesoma Ejikeme, a troubled Anambra student who recently admitted to falsifying her 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, has revealed that his daughter did not confess her "misdeed" to him on time.

In an interview with NTA News, which was shared on Twitter, Romanus made this revelation on Saturday. He pleaded with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and Nigerians to forgive his daughter.

"I must confess that my daughter did not confide in me at the right time. Once I discovered her mistake, I held her responsible," he stated.

"I remind her every day to be cautious and avoid tarnishing her reputation as a rising star. I sincerely apologize to JAMB and all Nigerians, and I humbly request their forgiveness on her behalf."

It was previously reported that JAMB had accused Mmesoma of manually manipulating her 2023 UTME score, inflating it from 249 to 362. Consequently, she had secured a scholarship from Innoson, which has now been revoked.
