The Department of State Services (DSS) now informs that Mr. Godwin Emefiele has been charged to court in accordance with an Abuja High Court order from yesterday, July 13, 2023.
The general public may be aware that the Service had requested a court order to detain him in connection with a criminal investigation in 2022. The Department of State Services (DSS) the Service, however, arrested him in June 2023 on the basis of alleged new criminal infractions/information, one of which serves as the basis for his current prosecution, despite the fact that he had secured a restraining order from an FCT High Court.
The Service promises the public that this matter will be handled with expertise, justice, and fairness.
