Military Forces successfully eliminated bandits in Mangu, recovered weapons.
On Wednesday, July 12, 2023, the troops from the Nigerian Army's 3 Division effectively neutralized three bandits in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau state. These courageous soldiers encountered an ambush set up by the criminals while promptly responding to a distress call in the general area of Mangu. However, they skillfully fought their way through the ambush, eliminating the bandits in the process. As a result, the troops were able to seize three AK-47 rifles, along with 14 rounds of 7.62 mm special ammunition, a motorcycle, and a Constabulary Police Identity card.
The military forces are currently in pursuit of the remaining bandits who managed to escape with injuries during the intense firefight.
