The Defence Headquarters has issued a directive to senior officers serving under the newly appointed service chiefs, urging them to voluntarily retire from their positions by Monday.
A memo dated June 26 and signed by Maj Gen Y. Yahaya on behalf of the Chief of Defence Staff outlined this order, specifically targeting generals, brigadiers-general, air vice marshals, and rear admirals in the Nigerian Army, Air Force, and Nigerian Navy who hold higher ranks than the newly appointed service chiefs.
