Impersonators Apprehended by Nigerian Army, Counterfeit IDs Recovered

Six individuals pretending to be military personnel have been apprehended by the 81 Division of the Nigerian Army.

During a press conference held on Monday at the 81 Division in Victoria Island, Lagos, Lieutenant Ayodeji Owoyomi, speaking on behalf of Brigadier General Mohammed Abubakar, the Commander of the 81 Division Provost Group, announced the arrests.

Upon their arrest, some of the suspects were found wearing military uniforms and were reportedly involved in escorting vehicles to bypass security checks, as well as providing security for individuals of high importance.

While presenting the suspects to the public, Owoyomi revealed that their actions had severely tarnished the army's reputation. It was disconcerting to observe that some of the suspects, who had been previously arrested and handed over to the police, were caught engaging in the same criminal behavior once again.
