Arrested Central Bank Governor, Emefiele, Apprehended at Lagos Border While Attempting to Escape Nigeria
Mr. Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), was apprehended by the Department of State Services (DSS) while trying to flee the country through the land border in Lagos.
The DSS confirms that Emefiele is now under their custody for investigative purposes. We urge the public, especially the media, to exercise utmost caution when reporting and discussing this matter.
