At the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kofa Mata, the stage intended for Kano State's swearing-in ceremony of Abba Yusuf suffered a collapse on Monday. 

In a dramatic twist, the new Kano governor made a noteworthy move by removing his predecessor's chair, who had left a day earlier without conducting a proper handover.
