Omoyele Sowore expressed that Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Idowu Owohunwa, has claimed to be conducting a "fact-finding" mission at the site of a police brutality incident involving a commercial biker in Abule-Egba area of Lagos.
However, he has failed to announce the arrest of the responsible policemen or their arraignment for attempted murder.
Instead, he arrived at the scene accompanied by a group of media cameras, seemingly attempting to deceive the public. Furthermore, there has been immense pressure exerted on the victim, Al Hassan Usman, to abandon his pursuit of justice.
In light of these circumstances, we strongly insist that the policemen involved in this brutal attack be transparently identified, prosecuted, and subsequently dismissed from the police force.
