In the latest terrorist attack which left about twenty people dead, many injured and some abducted, the Governor of the state, Bala Mohammed, consequently has asked the residents of the state, to pick up arms against the terrorists and defend themselves.
He advised them to fish out the informants of the terrorists in their mist and deal with them.
It is noteworthy to say Bauchi state just like other states in North West namely, Kaduna, Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi state have been under heavy attacks of various terrorist groups.
This time around the governor of Bauchi state has taken a bold step to tell the residents of the state that security operators cannot handle the issue alone and enjoined them to defend themselves.
The most affected areas recently were villages surrounding Duguri District of Alkaleri Local government area of Bauchi state.
Visiting the area, the Governor described what he saw as an unfortunate and unacceptable trend that must stop.
