DRIVER DEAD AS CAR CRUSHED BY TRAIN

Tragedy as a woman crushed in her car by train as she tried to drive across the train tracks in Chikakore axis of  Kubwa area of Abuja on Thursday.

The deceased, Selimota Idowu Suleiman was a staff of NTA channel 5 Abuja. She was on her way to the office before her untimely death. 

According to an eyewitness who testified that police chased people away who volunteered to help from the scene by spring pepper spray in their eyes. 

"In an attempt to rescue the victim by first responders and also cover the incident, the policemen at the scene, on-board the train became hostile.

"I and a few others were brutally assaulted by the policemen as they hit and sprayed pepper spray in my eyes and two others, they pointed guns as they harassed us away from the scene."
