This evening near Enugu-Ukwu, a convoy carrying Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was ambushed.
He was ambushed by assassins who were well-armed and started firing on his convoy.
The attack occurred around 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Nkwo Enugwu-Ukwu market junction, in the Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra.
His aides, including some police officers, were died.
The senator managed to flee as his bullet resistant automobile was riddled with gunshots.
