NNAMDI KANU WON'T BE RELEASED — NORTHERN GROUPS REPLY UN

Nnamdi Kanu won't be freed, Northern groups replied the United Nations, and they asked the Nigerian government to disregard orders.

The United Nations' requested for the unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the imprisoned leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, has been rejected by a coalition of 52 northern groups.

The Pan-Arewa sociopolitical organization charged the UN with prejudice in its treatment of particular areas of the nation.

Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, the CNG's spokesperson, who made the charge during a press conference in Abuja, urged the UN to immediately drop its demand for Kanu's unconditional release from the Department of State Services' custody.

In order to safeguard the nation, he counseled the Federal Government to rise to the challenge and turn down the demand.
