A Kenyan court sentenced a woman to pay 23,750k for receiving 3,000 in transportation costs from her boyfriend while refusing to see him.
Following her detention by the Kenyan police, A Kenyan magistrate ruled that she must return the money that her lover gave her to see him, or Ksh 23,750 (Kenyan Shillings). The girl consumed the cash and turned off her phone.
She received Ksh 3000 in transfare from her boyfriend.
The boyfriend was subjected to emotional abuse due of the girlfriend's absence, thus the court ordered her to pay Ksh 3000 plus Ksh 750 interest and Ksh 20 000 for emotional damages.
The boyfriend, Beyumunike, provided documentation of the made mobile money transfer to the court and all the WhatsApp messages they had.
