PRESIDENT BUHARI SEEKS ROTARY CLUB'S SUPPORT FOR ERADICATION OF POLIO





President Muhammadu Buhari was on Monday in Abuja said the Federal Government will keep drawing from the ability, association and consistency gained from the eradication  of Polio in the nation to reinforce the wellbeing area. 


President Buhari, who got Rotary International President, Mr. Shekhar Mehta and a few authorities, at the State House, expressed gratitude toward the association for different mediations in the wellbeing area, especially placing in $268 million in the battle against Polio.

“In addition to support provided by Rotary International in Polio Eradication, I am also well apprised of your other health interventions focused at improving maternal, newborn and child health, infrastructural renewal  of health facilities, data management to improve evidence-based decision making, and the area of improving quality of care for patients,’’ he said.




The President noticed that the help Nigeria had gotten from multilateral and two-sided accomplices, including Rotary International for Sustainable Development Goals and Universal Health Coverage had been significant.


Turning International similarly introduced an honor to President Buhari. 


 “I also heartily welcome and receive the award you have given in recognition of the efforts of the administration, in collaboration with our partners, leading to the certification of Nigeria, and the entire continent as being polio-free,’’ he responded. 


The President invited the Club's proposal of association with Nigerian in viable Coronavirus antibody the board and administration conveyance. 


In his comments, the Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, complimented Rotary International for supporting medical care programs and further developing offices in the country.
