The first governor of Borno to served for two consecutive terms (2003-2011), Modu Sheriff bragged that their aspirations are for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to be in government in the next 30 to 40 years.
He said that south-east can continue sit-at-home while APC will rule Nigeria for 40 years. Meanwhile as a party, they are only six years in government.
This statement was as a result of sit-at-home order that still on in the south-east.
