GOV IKPEAZU'S SPEECH ON NIGERIA 59TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY

The Abia State Governor Victor Okezie Ikpeazu joined the entire citizens of Nigeria to celebrate the 59th independence anniversary today being October 1, 2019.

He urged the President Muhammadu Buhari and Chief of the Armed Forces to rededicate themselves to the pursuit of the welfare of the people. And promised to be committed to the relentless quest of a better life for the people of Abia State.

"Today I rejoice with the entire citizens of Nigeria on the occasion of the 59th Anniversary of our independence as a sovereign nation.

This event as yet another opportunity for Nigerians to thank God for the privilege of nationhood and to rededicate ourselves to those worthy ideals of building a nation that is stronger and more united.

I use this opportunity to congratulate the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR and all leaders in the country across all levels on this milestone, and I urge them to rededicate themselves to the pursuit of the welfare of the people.

I specially wish the good people of Abia State a restful and joyous Independence Holidays while assuring our people that my administration remains committed to the relentless quest of a better life for the people of Abia State."
