10 suspented illegal oil bunkering were on Thursday, June 13, 2019 handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Port-Harcourt Zonal Office to continued investigations on them.
It was gathered that the suspects were arrested on 23 May, 2019 along Onne Channel Port-Harcourt Rivers State by Navy Captain K O Oguntuga and handed them over to EFCC on June 13, 2019.
He said that the Vessel conveyed the suspects was laden with over 800 metric tons of products which made him to suspected that it was an illegal refined Automotive Gas Oil, AGO.
The suspects were identified as:
1. Dickson Willaim N. Nettey,
2. Nwachukwu Chinedu,
3. Edikan. J. Frank,
4. Chigozie Chijioke,
5. Tuma Solomon,
6. Amos Peter,
7. Ikechukwu Cletus,
8. Benebo Osebiebaramama,
9. Umanankwe Chales and
10. Emmanuel Monday.
