COST-CUTTING: PAF AIRCRAFT SALE

Three aircraft from the Presidential Air Fleet (PAF) are slated for sale as part of the Tinubu Administration's cost-saving measures.

Currently, the fleet comprises ten aircraft, including six jets and four helicopters. If the proposal is executed, the fleet will be reduced to seven aircraft.

"The President is concerned about the escalating maintenance expenses of the planes. Three aircraft are earmarked for disposal, primarily to alleviate the high maintenance costs," a source revealed.

"PAF officers expressed apprehension about the frequent maintenance and its significant financial toll on the nation. The President opted to part with the most burdensome aircraft."
