ASSEMBLY REQUESTS BELLO'S REMOVAL

The Kogi State Assembly has urged the EFCC to remove the name of former Governor Yahaya Bello from its list of wanted individuals.

During the recent plenary session, the House adopted resolutions that included this request, prompted by concerns raised by Jibrin Abu, a member representing Ajaokuta State Constituency.

Abu presented a plea titled ‘A plea to cease the baseless, frivolous, and untrue smear campaign against former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello,’ arguing that the EFCC's targeting of Bello is unjust.

He emphasized that Kogi State's financial status does not support the claim of missing funds amounting to ₦80.4 billion, and urged those who believed the allegations to reconsider their support.
