Over the weekend, Peter Obi attended the Black History Month Celebration hosted by the black community at Oxford University in England, where he was a guest speaker.
During the event, the focus was on advocating for Africa and the black community to prioritize productive endeavours, considering a population of approximately 67 million. Nigeria boasts a landmass of 923,769 square kilometers and a GDP of $489.80 billion.
Obi emphasized that development is a gradual process. There was a time when Europe encountered similar challenges as they face today, yet they overcame them by engaging in productive activities.
It was stressed that Nigeria and Africa as a whole require dedicated and ethical leadership to guide them towards economic productivity and development.
