Peter Obi had the pleasure of hosting the Anambra Muslim Community at his residence in Onitsha to commemorate the joyous occasion of Eid al-Adha.
He said: "Peter Obi Earlier today, I hosted the Anambra Muslim Community at my residence in Onitsha, to celebrate the Eid al Adha. In also presented cheques to the leaders of Onitsha and Awka Muslim Communities, in fulfilment if my earlier promise of helping to renovate their respective mosques.
The visit was a propitious moment to remind them, and indeed all Nigerians, that we can conquer the myriads of challenges facing us as a nation, if we unite as a people, and live above our tribal, religious and political differences.
Nigeria is the only country we have and I remain committed to its peace, unity and progress.
Finally, I wished them and our other Muslim compatriots happy Eid Mubarak!
