KANO GOVERNOR DEMOLISHES ILLICIT BUILDINGS (VIDEO)

The newly elected Governor of Kano has initiated the demolition of illicit buildings that were originally owned by the state government but allegedly sold to private individuals during the administration led by Gandune.

In a similar vein, the UTC Shopping Complex situated in the Garki area of Abuja was demolished by the Federal Capital Territory Administration on Saturday. Shop owners expressed their grievances, stating that the Joint Task Force of the FCTA arrived in the early morning hours, preventing them from removing valuable items from their shops before the demolition commenced. They claimed that they had not received any prior notice regarding the demolition, despite being instructed to relocate to another provided complex.

The demolition of structures erected on public lands, which were unlawfully sold during the tenure of the Ganduje government, commenced early today. The Governor has made a commitment to revitalizing Kano by initiating these cleanup efforts.
