BANDITS KILL CHIEF, STEAL COWS


Bandits executed Fulani Chief, claim 4 children, and steal 100 Cows in Kaduna


In a tragic incident, a group of bandits attacked the village of Dorayi in Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State, resulting in the death of a prominent Fulani Chief, Ardon Birni, Keyawe of Zazzau Emirate, Alhaji Shuaibu Mohammed, and his four children.


According to a family member, the bandits, estimated to be around five in number, forcefully entered the residence on Saturday night at approximately 10 PM.


The wife of the deceased, Malama Halima Shuaibu, recounted the horrifying experience, stating, "The Ardo was dragged out of his bedroom and brutally shot twice in the head, instantly claiming his life."


She further disclosed that the bandits proceeded to every room in the compound, ruthlessly executing her four married children, all of whom had their own families.


The victims were identified as Adamu Shuaibu, Musa Shuaibu, Abubakar Shuaibu, and Ibrahim Haruna.


Malama Halima also revealed that after the attack, the bandits stole more than 100 cattle from the compound.


Another survivor of the assault, Abdurrahman Shuaibu, one of Ardo's children, recounted that the bandits shot two other individuals while fleeing the village.


When contacted for comment, the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Jalige, stated that he had not yet received detailed information about the incident from the Zaria City Divisional Police Officer.


In a separate operation, the Katsina Police Command, in collaboration with local hunters and vigilantes, conducted raids on six terrorist camps in Batsari and Jibia Local Government Areas of the state. During the operation, five terrorists were neutralized, and an 18-year-old suspected notorious terrorist named Abubakar Idris was apprehended.


Police sources confirmed that the operations yielded the recovery of 38 cows, 40 sheep, and 65 goats.


The raids were carried out in Marake, Garin Yara, and Garin Labo villages, all situated in Batsari Local Government Area, as well as at the camp of an alleged terrorist leader known as Audu Lankai in Jibia Local Government Area.


The command's spokesperson, Abubakar Aliyu, verified the incident on Sunday.
