The 2023 presidential candidates for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Abubakar and Bola Ahmed Tinubu, respectively, have been advised to resign in favor of the younger generation, according to Nobel laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka. .

Recall that Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku, one of their closest rivals, were defeated by Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election.
