Ireti Kingibe, a member of the Labour Party and the newly elected senator for the Federal Capital Territory, has claimed that the "Obidient" movement was instrumental in her success in the just-concluded election for the national assembly.

In an interview with Arise News on Friday, she made this disclosure.

Kingibe continued by stating that the party had approached her to serve as their senatorial candidate and that they would not have done so if she did not share some of their principles.

Without a doubt, the 'Obidient' movement aided my victory, the woman said. I was able to win because of it all. I was telling you that when I said it. Numerous factors were present in combination. Yes, it undoubtedly contributed to my victory.

"Abuja was totally obedient. It was from the start. Additionally, I have to admit that the "Obidient" movement came to look for me to be their senatorial candidate. So either they wouldn't have done so or I must have reflected some of their ideals.

"I support the movement, and I think Nigeria requires it. That is the movement we will maintain, and one that I want to start and keep on starting in the FCT. ".
