The University student was shot dead while attempting to retrieve his sim card from his stolen phone.
An armed robbery attack caused a student at Nnamdi Azikiwe University to pass away.
At the Success lodge Ifite, some armed robbers are alleged to have attacked Daniel, a philosophy student.
When the lodge was raided, he had his phone taken. When Daniel reached for his sim card in his phone, he was shot in the stomach. He lost so much blood that he died.
Police in the state were responding, according to the state's command of police;
''This is unfortunate, I got this information from the SUG president, yesternight. I have also escalated to the DPO covering the area. Police patrol has been on since then. I urge the witness of the incident to help us with information, please.''
