In a private chapel, the body of Pope Benedict is lying.
On Sunday, the Vatican released images showing the late Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI lying in his chapel at Mater Ecclesiae Monastery.
Benedict passed away on Saturday at the age of 95.
According to the Vatican, the emeritus Pope's body will remain in the monastery known as "Mater Ecclesiae," where he had been residing before his passing. However, the body of the late Pope Emeritus will lie in state in St. Peter's Basilica is open to the public until Thursday morning.
