NIGERIAN SINGER DAVIDO AND HIS FIANCÉE CHIOMA ROWLAND LOST THEIR 3-YEAR-OLD SON, IFEANYI

The tragic death occurred on Monday, October 31. Ifeanyi died by drowning in his father's house on Banana Island.

The couple had traveled to Ibadan for a family reunion, leaving Ifeanyi with his caregivers, who cannot explain how he slipped into the pool unnoticed and drowned.

The little Ifeanyi would have been underwater for a very long time before being discovered.

He was removed and taken to Evercare Hospital in Lekki, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

According to a source close to the heartbreaking incident, the nanny was with Ifeanyi and the cook came to join them. The nanny would have moved away to take a call. When she returned she could not find Ifeanyi and assumed he was with the chef, but the chef said he left Ifeanyi with her. They began frantically searching for Ifeanyi around the house for nearly 20 minutes until a security guard spotted him in the pool.

No one could explain how the boy got into the pool. Some of the people in Davido's house were arrested when the accident happened.
