The latest attack on police van has claimed the life of a police officer in Edo State.
However, ISWAP has announced its presence in the South West as well as claiming responsibility for the attacks in Ondo State earlier and latest attack now on police van in Edo State.
The Islamic State-backed faction of Boko Haram, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), formerly known as Jamā'at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da'wah wa'l-Jihād has claimed responsibility for an attack on a police checkpoint in Edo State.
According to ISWAP, the attack occurred in the state on Thursday, September 22, 2022.
