COMMISSION OF FIRST ABA FLYOVER

 


The historic first ever flyover in the State, the Osisioma Interchange and the newly reconstructed and dualized Aba-Owerri Road in Aba built by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu have been officially commissioned for public use yesterday, 5th of September, 2022.




This specific endeavor will continue to speak highly of him long after he has left both his position in government and this world. 




Stories about the construction of Abia State's first flyover will be passed down to future generations. 




Speaking at one of the activities planned to mark the 31st anniversary of the founding of Abia State, Governor Ikpeazu, interchange was built to make conducting business easier by ensuring that the traffic jam that forces traders to spend hours at the Osisioma intersection was controlled. He said that the exchange will lead to the state's economy developing. 




Governor Ikpeazu congratulated the Aba Business Community and Abians in general on the project's completion. He noted that the goal of governance is to solve people's problems. He said that the day was unique for good people and that it was a sad day for the opposition and those who had criticized his government while the junction was being built.




The Governor of Rivers State, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike commissioned the project as the father of flyover in Nigeria who understands the value of an interchange.
