The Most Rev'd Dr. E.O. Chukwuma (OON), an eminent archbishop of the Anglican Church of Nigeria, Enugu Ecclesiastical Province, has criticized the candidates and supporters of the Labour Party in Nigeria, claiming that the residents of Enugu State would never subscribe to their divisive "Obidients" slogan.

According to reports, Archbishop Chukwuma emphasized that political parties should sharpen their paths with people-oriented programs that could lift the nation out of poverty on Thursday at the burial ceremony of Colonel Anthony Obi (rtd), a former military administrator of the states of Osun and Abia, in Eziokwe Village, Ndiagu Akpugo, Nkanu West local government area of Enugu State.

“Let me say this in clear terms: we are not Obidient in Enugu State, and we’ll never be. The people of the state are under an umbrella and better off with the PDP. Our people should vote for the PDP in Enugu State. The parties in Nigeria must go and refine themselves and prepare for a better Nigeria".
