A lady who is accused of fatally stabbing her lesbian partner's spouse in Onitsha has been detained by the Anambra State Police Command.
On Tuesday, August 9, Ikechukwu Onuma, a staff member at the College of Health in Onitsha, arrived home unexpectedly to discover his wife, Nkemdilim, having an affair.
Nkemdili, whom he married in 2019, is claimed to be a lesbian who had been maintaining a female sex relationship without his knowledge.
A fight apparently broke out when the lesbian, who had caught them in the act, assaulted the man with a kitchen knife and fatally stabbed him.
The event was confirmed by the command's spokesperson, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, who also reported that the suspect had been taken into custody.
"We have a suspect in custody and the Commissioner of Police CP Echeng Echeng has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to State CID for a proper investigation," he said.
"Preliminary information shows that the suspect stabbed the victim in the chest. He was rushed to the hospital before he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty."
