Before his appointment, Justice Ariwoola was formerly a Justice of the Nigerian courts of appeal.
He was appointed to the bench of the supreme court of Nigeria on November 22, 2011 as a Judge, sworn in by the then Chief Justice of Nigeria.
Justice Olukayode Ariwoola was born on August 22, 1954. He was appointed a Judge of the Oyo State High Court in 1992.
He was later promoted to Justice of the Court of Appeal on November 2005. He is also a Member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Bar Association and the Nigerian Body of Benchers.
